The Duskbloods gameplay leaks before network test

According to IGN and Eurogamer, gameplay footage of The Duskbloods leaked online hours before the closed network test kicked off. The video, which reportedly went live after a preview aired early, was quickly removed but copies continued circulating on platforms like ResetEra.

The two-and-a-half-minute clip shows a sequence called Moon Blood Bestowal, described in-game as the final battle between three Bloodsworn (playable characters) competing for a single prize. The footage reveals fast-paced combat between three players, featuring aerial movement mechanics like double jumps and mid-air attacks, plus visual transformations including a character turning into a dinosaur.

According to Eurogamer, the video also shows PvP battles featuring guns, wolves, and velociraptors as part of the combat environment. IGN highlights that the game combines TTRPG influences with familiar Souls-like combat mechanics, all structured in eight-player phase-based matches where victory points determine who stays in the game.

The closed network test started over the weekend, restricted to participants who signed up during July. The Duskbloods is a Switch 2 exclusive directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of FromSoftware, and marks a new direction for the studio in purely multiplayer games.
