Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launches to positive reviews

Dark Arisen, the paid expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2, launched on the night of October 8 across platforms. According to Adrenaline, the DLC debuted with scores of 88 on Switch 2 and PC, and 84 on PlayStation 5, maintaining the quality of the base game. On OpenCritic, the expansion achieved an average of 85 points with 89% of critics approving it.

The expansion introduces the northern region of Norgan, a frozen and abandoned area, as reported by PC Gamer. The content is accessible by speaking to Brant at the Stardrop Inn at night, with level 40 recommended. Those who have reached the Unmoored World will need to wait for New Game+ to access the expansion.

Kento Kinoshita, who directed the expansion, is recognized for transforming the original Dragon's Dogma with a previous DLC, according to Push Square. His expertise resulted in well-received content, more than two years after the base game's release.
