Creative Assembly has announced that Lords of the End Times, the largest expansion for Total War: Warhammer III, will launch on September 24. The DLC will introduce four legendary lords inspired by the Warhammer universe's apocalypse, each with unique mechanics.
A significant shift in accessibility strategy accompanies the release: players will be able to purchase Lords of the End Times (as a complete package or in parts) and gain access to the Immortal Empires campaign without needing to own any of the original three games in the trilogy. This approach lowers the entry barrier for new players exploring the strategy content.
According to Shacknews, this distribution model is a feature that other strategy games could adopt, given the considerable time the franchise has been on the market.
