Pokémon Pokopia surpasses 5 million sales in four months

Pokémon Pokopia has reached 5 million units sold globally in just over four months since its March 5, 2026 launch, according to an official announcement from The Pokémon Company.

The Switch 2 exclusive has become the platform's second best-selling game, trailing only Mario Kart World, which has sold over 15 million copies. The milestone is particularly impressive for a cozy life simulation and crafting spinoff, marking a departure from the traditional Pokémon RPG formula.

The sales figure announcement arrives alongside the release of the game's first DLC, titled Bubbly Basin. The Pokémon Company has already confirmed a second DLC chapter is planned for later this year.

Pokémon Pokopia was released through multiple distribution channels: as a Game-Key Card requiring a download at physical retailers and digitally via the eShop, expanding accessibility for Switch 2 players.
