According to the PlayStation Blog, Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition arrives October 1 with new content for the PS5 exclusive. The edition includes the narrative expansion Echoes of Sekigahara, a single-player combat survival mode called Most Wanted, and quality of life improvements.
Echoes of Sekigahara spans present day and flashbacks to Atsu's time on the mainland. Players meet Nagato, a figure from Atsu's past who arrives in Ezo. In the present, they explore a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his followers, the Vipers. In the past, they experience Atsu's role in the Battle of Sekigahara. The expansion introduces new enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, and dyes.
Most Wanted is described by Sucker Punch as "our spin on a roguelike." Players accept bounties to start new runs, earning perks by defeating enemies and unlocking additional playable characters.
The Complete Edition will also launch on physical disc for PS5. According to VGC, the expansion and survival mode cost USD 14.99 separately.
