The Duskbloods' first network test session shut down over server issues

The Duskbloods' first network test session was shut down shortly after launch on Wednesday due to severe server problems. According to Nintendo Life and GameSpot, players attempting to access the game were stuck at the main menu, unable to log in for the duration of the scheduled session.

While FromSoftware acknowledged the issue in real time and attempted to resolve it, the connectivity problems persisted until shutdown. In a social media post, the studio apologized to participants: "We regret to inform you that today's session is now closed. We will continue to work on improving the servers and will announce future schedules at a later date."

As reported by Polygon and GamesRadar, today's session was only the first of several planned for the weekend of August 21 to 23, with five four-hour test windows scheduled. The future test schedule now remains unclear as FromSoftware works to resolve the infrastructure failures.

The Duskbloods is FromSoftware's new PvPvE action game for Switch 2, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. The closed network test was meant to be players' first chance to experience the title before its full release.
