The Blood of Dawnwalker is getting its first major update next week. According to Rebel Wolves, version 1.1 brings a new Story mode with additional combat assist, making the experience more accessible for players focused on narrative over challenge.
The update also introduces the Draught of Mind Rebirth potion, which lets players reset all of protagonist Coen's abilities. Using it returns all spent skill points and the time invested in upgrades, freeing both to be reallocated toward different power combinations or other activities.
One of the update's more distinctive features is the directional animal petting system. Drawing from the game's directional combat mechanics, which take inspiration from Kingdom Come: Deliverance, players can now interact with dogs and cats through this directional approach. The developer posed the concept as merging "a directional combat system with an ability to pet dogs and cats."
The Blood of Dawnwalker is Rebel Wolves' vampire RPG currently in early access on PC. The update rolls out next week.
