Update 1.1 for The Blood of Dawnwalker arrives next week with over 1,100 "improvements and fixes," according to Rebel Wolves. The patch delivers features the studio had previewed last month.
The major addition is the Draught of Mind Rebirth, an item that lets players forget all abilities and reset skill points across the Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism trees. Reclaimed points can be reinvested elsewhere or spent on extra missions, addressing one of the original game's harshest limitations, no respec option and a restrictive time-based progression system.
The update also introduces a new Story difficulty setting with "additional combat assist" for players seeking a more forgiving experience. Another standout feature is "directional animal petting," which applies the game's existing directional combat system to interactions with dogs and cats. Enhanced subtitle options across all dialogue lines round out the patch.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launched roughly a month ago and has been regarded as one of the year's best RPGs. Patch 1.1 releases on PS5 and PC.
