Star Wars: Galactic Racer excludes Anakin Skywalker at launch

Star Wars: Galactic Racer from developer Fuse Games will not include Anakin Skywalker in its character roster at launch. According to an interview with Video Games Chronicle, CEO Matt Webster explained that the game's story is set after the events of the original trilogy, a period when the character is canonically deceased.

Because of this timeline placement, only characters who are alive during that era of Star Wars history appear in both the campaign and arcade modes. The decision reflects Fuse Games' commitment to narrative accuracy within the Star Wars universe.

Webster left open the possibility that Anakin might arrive in future updates, but made no confirmation. The game is already in development and promises to combine arcade racing with roguelike elements in the single-player campaign, along with an innovative multiplayer mode that blends racing mechanics with MOBA-inspired features.
