Phantom Blade Zero has officially opened pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and PC at $59.99 (or £54.99). According to the PlayStation Blog, developer S-Game also announced a dedicated State of Play broadcast for August 17 at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET, featuring approximately 20 minutes of previously unseen gameplay focusing on combat systems, mechanics, and the game's wuxia-inspired universe.
Ahead of the broadcast, an 11-minute trailer revealed a major collaboration: Hong Kong action star and filmmaker Donnie Yen is involved in the project. The developer stated that Yen has served as a creative consultant since 2023, contributing his extensive martial arts and action filmmaking expertise to combat and action design. He also provided motion capture for Mó Yuan, the father of protagonist Soul.
The game launches October 29 on PlayStation 5 and PC. The Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes outfit and accessory unlocks plus a digital artbook and soundtrack, will retail for $69.99 (or £64.99).
Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG with souls-like influences blending wuxia storytelling with Unreal Engine 5 visuals. Players control Soul, who has just 66 days to defeat assassins, uncover conspiracies, and defend his values.
