Moon Studios, the developer behind Ori and the Blind Forest, revealed a nearly 30-minute video detailing the completely redesigned class system coming to No Rest for the Wicked. The announcement marks a substantial shift in the action RPG's design, moving away from the Dark Souls-inspired progression structure that characterized its early access phase.
According to Adrenaline, the game has been delayed from its planned late 2024 launch to March 2027. Beyond the new class system, Moon Studios has committed to multiple adjustments in gameplay, combat rewards, and exploration incentives. Early access players will receive special rewards as compensation for the extended wait.
The overhauled class system represents a foundational change to the game's progression mechanics, departing from the Dark Souls-like structure that defined the early access build. The transformation is intended to give the title a more distinctive identity as it approaches its 1.0 launch.
