Activision and Infinity Ward have confirmed fresh details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's open beta, which kicks off later this month across all platforms, including Switch 2. According to Eurogamer, the test marks the first time in the franchise's history that players access a campaign mission during a beta.
Participants will have access to the mission called 'Entrenched,' as revealed in the official trailer from the developers. The content is among several maps and modes included in the testing phase, offering a broader sample than traditional Call of Duty betas.
The Modern Warfare 4 open beta combines multiplayer and single-player content, setting it apart from previous tests in the Call of Duty series. The full release of the game is planned for 2026.
