The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is officially launching on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, marking the return of the title more than two decades after its original 1998 N64 release. According to Nintendo, the game features significant changes compared to the original version.
The remake takes up 27GB on the console and has received an official E10+ rating. Nintendo released a video highlighting eight redesigned elements for the new version, though full details of all changes have not been disclosed.
Eiji Aonuma, producer of the Zelda series, revealed that some younger team members had never played the original Ocarina of Time, and he emphasized that this was actually beneficial for development, bringing fresh perspectives to how certain elements were adapted.
The launch is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, with retailers already offering promotions and discounts on physical copies of the title.
