Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders have already recovered the game's main production costs, according to analysis from Sensor Tower, a firm specializing in games market tracking. Karl Kontus, senior vice president and general manager of the company's games division, estimates that approximately 25 million units have sold before launch, setting an unprecedented pre-order record.
While Take-Two Interactive, publisher of GTA 6, has not released official figures on performance, CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed to shareholders the extraordinary success of the pre-launch. The game arrives on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a PC version planned for 2025.
In related news, the GTA roleplay community is gearing up for nopixel V, a major rebuild of the popular nopixel server developed in collaboration with Rockstar. The closed beta begins September 8 with access granted to a curated list of nearly 450 content creators and players.
