Big Walk, the co-op adventure from the makers of Untitled Goose Game, is already addressing its most glaring issue after launch. According to PC Gamer, the primary complaint flooding Steam reviews centers on difficulty hearing teammates during play.
The game relies heavily on built-in proximity chat for players to communicate and solve puzzles together. However, multiple users reported that friend voices were barely audible even at maximum volume, while game sounds remained disproportionately loud. "It's a game about walking and talking, but the voice volume was so quiet that my friend's voices were barely whispers," wrote one Steam reviewer.
House House responded without delay. GameSpot reports the studio is already working on fixes and acknowledged the problem. Despite the audio hiccup, Big Walk launched strong: it peaked at nearly 50,000 concurrent players on Steam and maintains "Very Positive" reviews on the platform.
The game is inherently multiplayer with no matchmaking for random players, sessions require friends joining via access codes only. Since release, the title has also attracted modder attention, with one developer already announcing a VR mod in prototype stage.
