Kena: Scars of Kosmora has been delayed to 2027. According to the PlayStation Blog, Ember Lab needs "a bit more time" to polish the expanded experience the studio intends to deliver, while maintaining the quality bar set by the first game, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, released in 2021.
The game was announced in February this year during a PlayStation State of Play showcase. It had previously been scheduled for 2026.
As stated by Ember Lab, Kena: Scars of Kosmora is a character-focused linear adventure but with significantly broader scope than its predecessor. The world will offer content for players who venture off the beaten path.
On PS5 and PC, the game does not yet have a specific release date. The shift reflects the studio's commitment to delivering a more polished product at a larger scale.
