Extended Operations, the free DLC for 007 First Light, launched today, October 1st, 2026. According to Push Square, the update is available now for all players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, delivering long-requested features for the third-person action game.
The new content includes New Game Plus, a new 00 difficulty mode, Photo Mode, fresh TacSim mission challenges, and various gameplay adjustments. Eurogamer notes that the centerpiece is the Valhalla Protocol, which tasks players with racing against the clock in Slovakia behind the wheel of Bond's signature Aston Martin Valhalla. As GameSpot reports, the vehicle comes equipped with guns and missile launchers to help secure first place, and the track offers four different versions to test driving skills.
The update also adds new weapons and outfits to customize Bond. The release demonstrates IO Interactive's ongoing commitment to post-launch support, a practice the developer has well-established through its Hitman franchise.
