Players must defend construction sites, gather necessary resources for the campaign, and hold the line against the Terminids to ensure "eternal planetary security". Upon completing the objective, the community will receive the R-4 Hyena Marksmen rifle as a reward.
The campaign follows a previous successful event against the Illuminate, whose forces were, according to the game's narrative, sent to "humanitarian processing facilities". The studio's tongue-in-cheek approach mirrors the satirical tone Helldivers 2 maintains throughout its thematic science fiction events.
