Take-Two Interactive confirmed in its financial results disclosure that Grand Theft Auto 6 remains on schedule for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher revised its fiscal 2027 net bookings forecast upward, now estimating $8 to $8.2 billion, driven primarily by GTA 6's launch.
CEO Strauss Zelnick described the game's pre-orders as "unprecedented" and "astonishing" across the industry, stating that "no one's ever seen anything like this before at Take-Two, or in the industry." However, Zelnick cautioned that strong pre-order numbers do not guarantee proportional sales at launch, warning that "we haven't sold one unit yet. You can cancel a preorder."
During the investor call, Zelnick also reiterated Take-Two's confidence in the launch date, citing a "high degree of confidence" that Rockstar Games will meet the November 19 target. According to Take-Two, Rockstar Games is expected to account for approximately 37% of the publisher's total revenue this fiscal year, cementing GTA 6 as the core pillar of the company's financial strategy.
