Splatoon Raiders, the new action looter spin-off released for Nintendo Switch 2 this week, received development support from Monolith Soft, according to Nintendo Life. The studio, best known for the Xenoblade Chronicles series, also contributed to previous Splatoon franchise releases.
The game shipped with a launch update containing adjustments and bug fixes. Nintendo's Japanese website notes that the update is required to play the title online, though full patch notes remain unavailable on Western storefronts.
Meanwhile, Nintendo Music added nine tracks from the new title as a "special release," providing a sample of the full soundtrack. Nintendo's promotional push also featured a new overview trailer and a developer interview, which all but confirmed that Splatoon 4 is in the works.
Splatoon Raiders is a single-player focused experience with local and online multiplayer support, set across the mysterious Spirhalite Islands.
