Kieron Gillen has written the campaign mode for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, according to Eurogamer. The writer, recognised for his acclaimed runs on Uncanny X-Men, Young Avengers, and the award-winning independent series The Wicked + The Divine, is behind the game's Episode Mode.
The campaign follows five distinct teams, each with its own story. Gillen's involvement underscores Sony and Arc System Works' commitment to delivering a narrative-driven experience within the fighting game.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls launches on 6 August 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC. An open beta test is scheduled for the weeks leading up to the official release.
