Genshin Impact 7.0 is official for August 12. According to Siliconera, the update brings players to Snezhnaya, the snowy seventh nation of the open world and the domain of the Fatui and the Tsaritsa, marking a narrative milestone for the game after six years of buildup since launch in 2020.
The update introduces five-star character Odette, a new Night Hunt in Snow outfit for the Traveler, and a fresh Archon Quest. Players will also partake in four limited-time events during the patch window.
Three redemption codes offering Primogems have been announced: Everwinter, Odette0812, and OntoSnezhnaya. Per PC Gamer, livestream codes typically expire within a day, so redemption should happen quickly. Meanwhile, Siliconera confirms the To Temper Thyself and Journey Far event will expand with nine additional five-star characters available in the constellation selector, including Lyney, Wriothesley, Navia, and Xianyun, with most being Fontaine-focused.
The arrival of Snezhnaya represents a culmination of the game's six-year support cycle, as the region holds significant narrative importance due to the long-running conflict between the Traveler and the Fatui organization.
