GTA 6 will run at 30fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X at launch

It is official: GTA 6 will run at 30fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X when it launches in November 2026. The confirmation came after Rockstar showed 26 minutes of gameplay on Netflix last week.

According to GamesRadar, Rob Nelson, co-studio head and head of development at Rockstar North, stated that the studio is still evaluating whether to add a performance mode in the future. For now, however, the open-world crime game maintains the 30fps standard on both platforms.

Push Square also confirmed the detail, noting that the PS5 Pro, despite its beefier GPU compared to the base model, would likely lack sufficient CPU power to double the frame rate. The decision on additional graphics modes is expected to be finalized before or after the game's release.
