Overwatch's season 3, dubbed "Into the Tiger's Den," kicks off this week with new Damage-class hero Shion and the fresh Hybrid map Neon Junction, inspired by Tokyo. Per Polygon, the update continues the seasonal pattern established since Overwatch 2 rebranded back to Overwatch, introducing a roster addition alongside new cosmetics and gameplay refinements.
The battle pass features Tokyo-themed skins, including cat cafe and Japanese street rebel designs. A collaboration with musical duo Yaosobi delivers colorful streetwear looks for Kiriko, Genji, and Hanzo.
Shion's kit brings an unconventional loadout—guns paired with weaponized motorbikes as tactical options. The new season represents the third major update cycle for the rebranded title, maintaining Blizzard's cadence of hero additions and cosmetic expansions alongside core gameplay updates.
