Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 received its first major update in nearly a decade on Steam. The patch from Capcom marks a return to the 2011 fighting classic after an extended period without significant changes.
According to Eurogamer, however, the update appears to have introduced more problems than it resolved. Reports suggest new bugs emerged following the patch's implementation, disappointing players who had hoped for improvements to the experience.
The release comes as Capcom seems to be in unexpected update mode—the company also recently patched Dragon's Dogma 2, a 2022 title, in preparation for the Dark Arisen expansion. The approach underscores the developer's commitment to revisiting its back catalog, though with mixed results.
