Game Freak pledges continuous updates for Beast of Reincarnation

Beast of Reincarnation, Game Freak's new original project for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, has received divided critical reception since its early August launch. The developer has now announced plans to improve the game through regular updates.

According to Game Freak, the first patch is scheduled to arrive within a week and will include camera adjustments, increased font size, story pacing improvements, and general bug fixes. The studio also noted that the default graphics mode will switch from Cinematic to Performance mode. "We take your feedback to heart and are currently planning a series of continuous updates," the company stated in an official post.

Technical issues have been a focal point in reviews. The camera positioned too close to protagonist Emma made combat harder than intended, while text size was so small it hindered readability. Critics also flagged concerns about narrative pacing throughout the experience.

This marks Game Freak's first major original project outside the Pokémon franchise in years, making the commitment to ongoing support a sign the developer intends to sustain the title in the coming months.
