Danganronpa 2x2 delayed to early 2027

Spike Chunsoft has announced that Danganronpa 2x2, the remaster of the visual novel sequel Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, will be delayed. Originally slated for a 2026 release, the game is now scheduled for early 2027. The remaster will feature a new alternate storyline called Slayhem mode, allowing players to experience a different version of events rather than replaying the original story. According to the announcement, the remaster will include approximately 20% more content overall, updated character portraits, and a redesigned 3D world map replacing the previous side-scrolling navigation system. The project was first announced last year as an enhanced revisit to the franchise.
