Warcraft 3: Reforged has received its first original campaign in two decades. According to GameSpot, Forsaken Kingdom was announced at BlizzCon 2026 and released today, bringing over 30 hours of new gameplay for players to explore.
The campaign follows the last days of Lordaeron after its fall to Arthas and the formation of the Undercity, a key backdrop for the Forsaken lore in World of Warcraft. As Shacknews noted, the expansion is available both as paid DLC and as a standalone package for the 2003 RTS remaster.
Beyond the Forsaken Kingdom launch, Blizzard released update 3.0 for Warcraft 3: Reforged for free, adding visual improvements and quality-of-life features. IGN highlighted that this marks the first original single-player RTS campaign since The Frozen Throne in 2003, offering new story content to fans who have waited for fresh single-player material since Starcraft II: Nova Covert Ops in 2016.
