The modder DryxioGTA has successfully transformed GTA 3 into a playable experience inside GTA San Andreas. According to Adrenaline, the game was inserted into a TV set placed in Grove Street, and players can walk the protagonist CJ to it and switch control with the F10 key to play.
The mod's standout feature is that both games run at the same time. While CJ pauses to play GTA 3 on the TV, San Andreas' world around him remains active with NPC traffic and events. Similarly, if the player leaves to explore San Andreas, GTA 3 continues running on the small screen independently.
The project extends further. Following the initial video release, the modder expanded the concept to also include GTA Vice City as another playable experience within San Andreas' world.
The achievement exemplifies the creative reach of GTA's modding community, which has spent decades reworking and expanding Rockstar's series through everything from graphical tweaks to entirely new mechanics.
