The Witcher 3 multiplayer mod adds online Gwent battles

June 15, 2026 · 1 min read · Notering

The Witcher 3's multiplayer mod has received an update introducing online Gwent battles, according to Rock Paper Shotgun. The feature enables players to meet up in taverns within the game to compete in the card game — a concept CD Projekt Red previously turned into a standalone Gwent title.

The update adds another layer to the mod that has become the go-to tool for creative multiplayer experiences in The Witcher 3. The addition expands social interaction possibilities within the game world.

Also making waves this week: the medieval platformer Scarlet Deer Inn, crafted by Czech husband-and-wife team Attu games, has drawn attention for its distinctive visual approach where characters are made using a sewing machine before being scanned into the digital space — while backgrounds are hand-painted. PC Gamer recommends trying the free demo on Steam. Meanwhile, Croakwood, the next project from the creator of Parkitect, delivers city-building with a relaxing aesthetic centered on a frog community.
