Wild Blue Skies launches August 13 for Xbox, PS5, PC; Switch version delayed to autumn

Wild Blue Skies, an on-rails shooter inspired by classic arcade games like Star Fox, launches August 13, 2026 for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and Steam, according to an official Xbox Wire announcement. The Switch version will follow later in autumn, as confirmed by Nintendo Life.

Developed by Chuhai Labs, the game aims to recreate the feel of 1990s arcade cockpit shooters. The studio sought to capture not only the mechanics but the specific memory of those games: a Saturday morning session, a borrowed controller, a high score that mattered. Studio director Giles Goddard brings deep experience with the on-rails shooter genre to the project.

The voice cast features Jonah Scott, Suzie Yeung, Edward Bosco, and Daman Mills. The launch price is $14.99 across all platforms.
