Final Fantasy Resonance gets 120-song original soundtrack

Square Enix announced new details about Final Fantasy Resonance, its first game with HD-2D visuals in the franchise, launching in October. According to Eurogamer, the game's original soundtrack will feature 120 tracks composed specifically for the title.

The game reimagines the mobile Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius with the HD-2D aesthetic, which combines 2D pixel art with three-dimensional environments and dynamic lighting effects, per Polygon. Siliconera confirmed the presence of recurring characters like Gilgamesh and Ultima Weapon, alongside characters from other mainline titles including Clive (from FFXVI), Lightning (from FFXIII), Firion, and Vaan. The game will also feature four new Espers as summons, Mighty Foes, and optional Secret Dungeons.

According to GameSpot, Square Enix revealed more details about the game's world, characters, gameplay systems, and completionist content. The title reimagines a scenario where Final Fantasy games continued to innovate with pixel art beyond the 1990s.
