The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered arrives September 29, 2026

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered was officially revealed at Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live. According to Xbox Wire, the remastered version launches September 29, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.

CD Projekt Red confirmed the remaster will be a free update for existing players. Improvements include modernized graphics, enhanced combat, revamped traversal systems, and improved monster behavior. The game receives a redesigned skill tree, new finishers, and expanded transmutations, per IGN Brasil. The two major expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, will be included at no cost.

The announcement also unveiled the first trailer for Songs of the Past, a final paid expansion launching in 2027 with a scope comparable to Blood and Wine. The expansion will release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, though no specific date has been set.

The remaster represents continued support for CD Projekt Red's flagship title over a decade after its original 2015 launch, keeping one of the most acclaimed RPGs of its generation relevant for veteran and new players alike.
