Marvel Rivals releases provocative Captain America skin for 4th of July

Marvel Rivals received a new summer-themed cosmetic to celebrate the 4th of July. The skin, called Seaside Sentinel, puts Captain America in a swimsuit with an inflatable duck shield and an extremely tight swim briefs that includes jiggle physics during gameplay. The provocative design went viral on social media, with fans commenting that it looked like an unofficial mod. According to GamesRadar, however, the design is not a NetEase invention: the visual is based on 1992 Marvel comic art. Loki and White Fox also received beach skins in the same update, but none generated as intense a reaction as Steve Rogers' outfit. The news reflects Marvel Rivals' ongoing strategy of offering revealing alternative cosmetics for its roster of heroes and villains.
