The Forza support team has confirmed it is investigating an issue in Forza Horizon 6 causing players to lose or have their save files corrupted. According to IGN, the team has not identified the root cause, but the community suspects certain recently released cars may be involved — including the Schuppan 962CR (1993), Ford F-150 SVT Lightning (2003), Lamborghini Countach LP5000QV (1988), Chevrolet Bel Air (1957), and Wuling Sunshine S Forza Edition (2020). The recommendation is to avoid these vehicles, especially when painting, applying liveries, or sharing designs.
On Pure Xbox, Microsoft announced a new system update expected to begin rolling out starting June 12. The problem gained visibility in early June when players reported losing hundreds of hours of progress. Meanwhile, the support team recommended Xbox players disable Quick Resume for Forza Horizon 6 as a temporary workaround.
