Star Wars KOTOR Remake may be revealed this year, insider reports

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake could be re-revealed soon. According to insider 100% Star Wars, reported by outlets including Eurogamer and TheGamer, the project is in steady development and may receive an official announcement sometime in 2026, with a potential 2028 release.

Originally announced in 2021, the title switched developers after its initial version was scrapped. Aspyr Media was replaced by Saber Interactive, which took over the project and has reportedly made consistent progress over the past three years.

The insider report suggests development is on track and has advanced significantly under the new studio's direction. Public information remains limited beyond the original announcement and recent status updates via insider sources.

Lucasfilm, LucasArts, and Saber Interactive have not officially confirmed any announcement dates or timelines.
