Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 has launched this week on Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. According to Nintendo Life, the release marks the debut of Metal Gear Solid 4 outside its PlayStation 3 exclusivity, where it remained since 2010.
The collection brings together four titles from the franchise created by Hideo Kojima. Nintendo Life published a graphics comparison between the Switch 2, PS3, and PS5 versions of MGS4, showing how the game was optimized for Nintendo's hybrid platform.
This is the second volume of the Master Collection, expanding Metal Gear Solid's availability across multiple consoles. The launch arrives as Kojima works on new projects, including the games OD and Physint, alongside upcoming film and anime adaptations of the Death Stranding franchise.
