It's official: Microsoft has opened pre-orders for the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, a translucent original green console celebrating 25 years of the platform. According to Xbox Wire, dedicated fans will receive email invitations to pre-order today; tomorrow, August 27 at 10 a.m. EDT, pre-orders will be available to all via the Xbox website and participating retailers.
Each console is individually numbered and includes a special limited edition controller. The standout feature is the bundle: Microsoft will include a full copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved, the modernized remake of the campaign that defined the original Xbox experience for millions of players worldwide.
According to TheGamer, the console will cost $899.99. Launch is set for November 13, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S.
By bundling a major AAA title, Microsoft aims to justify the premium price tag of the commemorative console. The remade Halo is expected to be a flagship title for the platform's 25th anniversary push.
