Animal Crossing: New Horizons surpasses 50 million copies sold

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has surpassed 50 million copies sold worldwide, according to Nintendo's latest financial disclosure. The game reached 50.29 million units sold through June 30, 2026, marking an increase of roughly 380,000 copies over the previous 90-day period.

New Horizons now stands as the second best-selling game on Nintendo Switch, behind only Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which has sold 78.53 million units. Both titles have benefited from being bundled with console packages and continue to attract both new and longtime Switch players.

The milestone reflects the enduring appeal of the life-simulation genre more than six years after New Horizons' original 2020 launch.
