Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons showcases expressive magic system at Gamescom

Tuque Games showed Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons at Gamescom 2026, highlighting its approach to magic. Rather than treating spells as fixed functions (fire melts ice, lightning breaks armor), the game presents magic as an open palette where players can interpret and apply abilities in multiple ways.

According to the hands-off demo, a single spell can be deployed in dozens of different approaches. This design philosophy mirrors tabletop Dungeons & Dragons, rewarding player improvisation and creativity within an open world setting.

The game is in development for Xbox and PC. Tuque Games aims to translate the narrative and tactical flexibility of the tabletop RPG into an interactive experience where player agency and creative problem-solving drive progression.
