George Kamitani, founder of Vanillaware, has expressed interest in bringing more of the studio's games to PC, according to games journalist James Mielke's account on Bluesky. The developer's respected catalog has historically remained console-exclusive — titles like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Dragon's Crown, Unicorn Overlord, and Odin Sphere are not available on the platform.
The catch is financial rather than creative: "It's up to the publisher to finance the ports," Mielke relayed from Kamitani. Many Vanillaware games are tied to different publishers, which means each port would require separate negotiations and funding. Mielke jokingly urged fans to "make some noise" if they want these games on PC — an implicit call to pressure the publishers holding the rights.
The news arrives just after the announcement of Muramasa: Revenant Blades for Steam, marking Vanillaware's first modern presence on PC. This launch may pave the way for future negotiations with the publishers controlling the rights to the studio's classic titles.
