The opening cinematic of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, the mobile project discontinued last year, has surfaced on video-sharing platforms. According to Eurogamer, the material shows an epic battle between Keyblade-wielders in space suits against a massive Heartless.
The sequence features scenes set in space before the characters are transported to Quadratum, a realm based on the real world. The authenticity of the leak is supported by the presence of visual elements typical of Tetsuya Nomura, the creative director behind the Kingdom Hearts series.
Missing-Link was cancelled in 2025 by Square Enix, which cited difficulties in maintaining a service of satisfactory quality over time. The game was designed as a narrative bridge between previous titles and Kingdom Hearts 4, whose development is ongoing.
