Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches an open beta this weekend for all players to experience the tactical milsim. According to Pure Xbox, the crossplay-enabled playtest begins today (July 24) and runs through Sunday (July 27) on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Announced in 2025, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam expands the original World War II game's formula into Vietnam War territory. As reported by PC Gamer, the game brings 50v50 large-scale battles with the addition of air power including helicopters, spread across six maps. A new map will debut specifically during this playtest, marking the first time crossplay has been enabled in the game.
The title maintains focus on hardcore military simulation, teamwork, tactics, and historical accuracy, setting itself apart from obvious Battlefield Vietnam comparisons through its more grounded approach. The playtest is free to download on Steam (PC) and the Xbox Store (console).
