Pre-loads for Phantom Blade Zero went live on October 26, but S-Game disclosed substantial storage requirements. The developer stated that 300GB of free space on an SSD is needed for the pre-load process, even though the installed game takes up just 145GB.
The gap between temporary space required and final file size comes from file decompression during installation. S-Game recommends players have an SSD to run the game and update their graphics drivers before launch.
Phantom Blade Zero releases on October 28 for PS5 and PC. The wuxia action RPG from the Chinese studio has earned an 88 Metascore average across 40 critic reviews, including six perfect scores.
A Platinum trophy is available with 36 total trophies for players to unlock. On PS5, the version holds console exclusivity.
