The Blood of Dawnwalker will release on disc, Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves have confirmed. The studio's debut medieval vampire RPG will ship on physical media alongside digital versions.
But the real story is the game's unconventional design. Creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz tells IGN Brasil that "the game doesn't end when you run out of time." The 30 in-game days limit doesn't stop the experience, but it does gate what each player can see. Two people playing the game will witness entirely different narrative paths based on their choices and how they spend their time.
Rock Paper Shotgun notes this is a bold move for a AAA title: intentionally crafting a game where not everyone will experience all the content. Tomaszkiewicz is comfortable with this, embracing the idea that branching choices carry real weight in Rebel Wolves' narrative sandbox.
The game launches in 2026 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
