GTA 6 launches in November with single-player campaign only; Rockstar announces US$ 80 price tag

Rockstar Games confirmed this week that Grand Theft Auto 6 will arrive on November 19 featuring only the single-player experience. The announcement came alongside details about pre-orders and the game's pricing structure.

According to Rockstar, the standard edition will cost US$ 80, while the Ultimate edition will retail for US$ 99.99 and include extra content and exclusive shop access. The company made no mention of GTA Online in its launch statement, confirming that the multiplayer mode will not be included at release.

The game will be distributed digitally only, with physical copies containing only a download code. The absence of GTA Online at launch represents a departure from previous entries in the series, which traditionally included the online mode from day one.

The announcement also triggered movement among other studios: CI Games revealed that Lords of the Fallen 2 is being pushed back from 2026 to the first quarter of 2027, with the CEO explicitly citing the competitive holiday period as a factor, a clear reference to GTA 6's November launch.
