Arc System Works revealed that BlazBlue: Central Fiction, which launched in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PS3, will receive a new playable character as DLC. The announcement was made during Arc System Works' 2026 showcase in a teaser trailer released today.
According to BlazBlue: Central Fiction producer Riku Ozawa, "it's been many years since this game was released" and the company was able to make the development happen "thanks to the continued support of fans around the world who have kept the game alive." The publisher withheld further details about the character at the presentation.
The full reveal of the new character will take place at EVO 2026, a major fighting game event happening this weekend. The news marks a significant return to supporting the title, which continues to maintain an active community over a decade after its original release.
