Code Vein 2 gets first expansion and free 2.0 update

Mask of Idris, the first expansion for Code Vein 2, launched in early July on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). The DLC can be purchased separately or accessed by owners of the game's Deluxe and Ultimate editions.

The expansion introduces a new campaign set in the Forsaken World, a brand-new region that expands the main narrative. To access it, players must complete the mission "Valentin's Request" after meeting Valentin at MagMell and unlocking the "Luna Fraterna" ending from the base game. The storyline centers on an alternate version of returning character Lou MagMell and Liv Voda, both playing key roles in a narrative involving the convergence of multiple timelines.

Alongside the paid expansion, Bandai Namco rolled out the free 2.0 update for Code Vein 2, which adds more post-game content. The game, which launched in January 2026, continues to receive support six months after its initial release.
