Halo: Campaign Evolved posted stronger numbers on its home platform. According to analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana's player engagement tracker, on July 28 (the official launch date after early access), the game ranked 4th in daily active users on US Xbox, with 8% of all players on the platform launching the title.
On PlayStation 5, however, the results were significantly more modest. Halo: Campaign Evolved placed only 29th among most-played games, representing 1% of daily active users. The gap reflects the franchise's long-standing association with Xbox since its original 2001 debut.
On Steam, the game ranked 14th with 2% of daily user engagement. These metrics are not directly comparable due to differing player base sizes across platforms, but the figures confirm that Halo maintains its strongest pull among Xbox audiences, even after expanding to rival consoles and PC.
