Gran Turismo 7 is getting a free Spec IV update on PS5 and PS4, Polyphony Digital announced on the PlayStation Blog. The update will roll out in two parts, launching first in October 2026 and then in December, to kick off celebrations for the series' 30th anniversary.
The Spec IV update will introduce new circuits, new cars, and additional ways to compete. The two-part release structure was chosen to accommodate the volume of content planned for this version.
The update is part of Polyphony Digital's broader plans to celebrate three decades of the Gran Turismo franchise. According to the PlayStation Blog announcement, the changes also include features designed to make the world of Gran Turismo more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
